Tour to the Savoy Automobile Museum

Announcing IBM Atlanta QCC tour to the Savoy Automobile Museum – 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2024.

The Savoy Automobile Museum in Cartersville, GA is just off I-75 and only about 30 minutes from Cobb County.  Through changing exhibits, visitors have the opportunity to appreciate the beauty and history of automobiles.  It will bring back memories of your youth and days gone by.

Please join us on Thursday, March 21st as we tour this world-class museum.  Whether you are an avid car lover, car collector, or just like to reminisce while eyeing beautiful cars, you’re certain to enjoy this tour.  For additional information about the museum, please check out their website at

The tour will begin sharply at 11:00 a.m. by one of their knowledgeable tour guides.  Please plan to arrive at 10:30 a.m. to allow time to check in and get our tickets.  Transportation to/from the Museum is on your own.  It’s a short ride (about 30 – 45 minutes depending upon where you’re coming from) up I-75.  The address is:  3 Savoy Lane, Cartersville, GA  30121

Once the tour is done, you can stay, have lunch on your own in their Café or go out to one of the many restaurants in Cartersville if you prefer.  After lunch, feel free to go back into the museum and take a second look at the exhibits on your own.

The normal museum group admission cost is $13.00 per person.  However, our IBM QCC members and 1 guest will pay only $5.00 per person. Additional guest(s) after the 1st guest will pay $10.00 per person. IBM Atlanta QCC will subsidize the difference.

To secure your spot, please RSVP by clicking on the Google Forms link below by 5:00 p.m. on Friday March 15, 2024.

We look forward to this exciting event, sharing the experience and memories with you – it surely is going to be loads of fun.  If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Carolyn Hampton at or 678-520-4933.  Thank you.

  • About Our IBM Atlanta QCC Club

Our club was formed many years ago to promote social and community activities for current and former IBM employees with 25 years of service or more. Our club receives no funding from or sponsorship by IBM. We do thank IBM for allowing us to use their auditorium for our annual meetings.

Our purpose is to enjoy one another's companionship while participating in our many social and volunteer activities.

We recruit new members from the recently inducted QCC list provided by IBM Atlanta. However, we rely heavily on our membership to encourage eligible IBMers to join our Club. We also count on all members to contribute their ideas, suggestions, and their time for volunteer activities.

Membership is voluntary and while you must qualify as an IBM Quarter Century employee, membership in the Atlanta QCC is not an automatic extension of IBM's 25 year qualification. You must join our chapter and pay the annual dues which are currently $10.00 per year.

If you are not a member of our club but you have qualified for the IBM Quarter Century Club, you are eligible to join our social club. Please complete a Membership Application form below. If you have questions, please e-mail George Turner.
