Announcing IBM Atlanta QCC's Trilith Studios Tour on Tuesday (10am - 12pm), August 13

Dear IBM QCC Members:

The film industry has become a major economic driver for the state of Georgia. Film and television productions generate a significant number of jobs in Georgia. Studies show the industry supports tens of thousands of jobs, with estimates ranging from nearly 60,000 according to a 2023 study to over 11,000 from a 2014 report. These jobs span various sectors, including construction, set design, catering, acting, directing, and special effects.

Productions in Georgia lead to substantial spending within the state. Figures indicate film and television projects contribute billions of dollars annually. A 2023 study estimated an economic output of $8.55 billion attributable to the film industry. This spending benefits a wide range of businesses, from hotels and restaurants to equipment rental companies and transportation services.

IBM Atlanta QCC is delighted to offer our members and spouses a tour to the Trilith Studios in Fayetteville, GA.  We are calling all movie buffs and architecture enthusiasts to join this captivating Trilith Studios tour and delve into the world of filmmaking where fantasy becomes reality.

  • About Our IBM Atlanta QCC Club

Our club was formed many years ago to promote social and community activities for current and former IBM employees with 25 years of service or more. Our club receives no funding from or sponsorship by IBM. We do thank IBM for allowing us to use their auditorium for our annual meetings.

Our purpose is to enjoy one another's companionship while participating in our many social and volunteer activities.

We recruit new members from the recently inducted QCC list provided by IBM Atlanta. However, we rely heavily on our membership to encourage eligible IBMers to join our Club. We also count on all members to contribute their ideas, suggestions, and their time for volunteer activities.

Membership is voluntary and while you must qualify as an IBM Quarter Century employee, membership in the Atlanta QCC is not an automatic extension of IBM's 25 year qualification. You must join our chapter and pay the annual dues which are currently $10.00 per year.
